IMPORTANT...PLEASE READ!
An assortment of software applications WILL BE REQUIRED in order for you to efficiently open and edit most of the products described above
You will need Photoshop or a compatible image editor to edit the Photoshop Web Templates. Your image editor must be able to open files with the .psd extension.
You will need an HTML Editor such as Dreamweaver, Go-Live, Frontpage or Expression Web to create your website and publish to the web after you perform edits with an image editor.
You will need Adobe Flash to edit the Flash Web Templates.
Zip Files (.zip)
All the main folders have been compressed (zipped). Although it may seem a boring and sometimes tedious task to unzip (extract) these files, compressing them was necessary in order to make them fit. You will need a ZIP application to properly extract them. I highly recommend using a program called ZipGenius as this is what I used to originally compress them. Speaking from experience, the free version of WinZip has been occasionally problematic with the extraction of these zip files in the past, turning up CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check ) errors. This only means that WinZip found the file had somehow been altered between when it was compressed and when extraction was attempted (which wasn't the case). This was never an issue when using ZipGenius. You can get ZipGenius from www.download.com for FREE!
Photoshop (.psd)
Files that hold the PSD extension are Photoshop Documents and require Image Editing Software such as Photoshop to edit them. You can get a 30 day free trial of Photoshop HERE. Free, open source Image Editing Software is also available and will allow you to edit PSD source files, such as one called The GIMP. You can get this application for FREE from www.download.com. Searching here will turn up more free and low-cost image editing applications.
HTML
In order for you to edit all HTML web pages, an HTML Editor such as Dreamweaver, Frontpage or Expression Web will be required. You can pick up your 30 day free trial of Dreamweaver HERE. Coffeecup also has a free HTML Editor that you can get HERE. In fact, Coffeecup has many great free applications available on their website. There are also more HTML software apps included on the DVD.
Flash (.fla)
The Flash web templates require that you have access to the Adobe Flash application to edit the Flash (.fla) source files. Get a 30 day free trial of Adobe Flash HERE. However, some of these templates allow you to perform minor edits (company name, slogan, etc.) by simply editing the text file (.txt) that is included in it's containing folder.
